2023 Bridal Trends at TWS
Brides.com posted an article last October that had us swooning over some of the trends from New York Bridal Fashion Week. The post noted “…even with a diverse range of styles presented this market season, one common theme we can surely agree on is that the bridal industry has openly embraced change. There are more looks now, than ever before, that cater to brides of all aesthetics.”

01. SHEER FABRICS
Where bold meets sexy - sheer fabrics have entered the chat. Some of our favorite bridal gowns combine this “barely-there” design with dimensional floral applique and stunning beading detail.

02. MOCK NECKS
It’s giving Kate Middleton circa Royal Wedding 2011 in the BEST way possible. The higher, mock neckline is coming back in bridal, and honestly? We are obsessed.

03. ASYMMETRICAL NECKLINE
We LIVE for the asymmetrical neckline trend. It’s such a fun twist on a classic look, giving a modern edge to more traditional bridal fabrics like crepe and silk.

04. ELABORATE BALLGOWNS
For the bride who wants every jaw to drop - ballgowns will NEVER go out of style. The industry is starting to see bridal ballgowns elevate to the next level, with elements such as feathered tulle and 3D florals.

05. OVERSIZED FLORALS
Floral lace is not new to the bridal scene, but designers are starting to put a new twist on it with larger applique. This new trend “turn(s) this traditional aesthetic into something more modern.”

06. LITTLE BOWS
Bows are such a fun way to give a bridal gown a romantic, girly touch. We’re seeing our designers incorporate them in a few different ways, including on belts, on the shoulders, and of course as as statement on the back of the gown.

TWS PREDICTS: LAYERS
What does TWS think will be the next biggest thing in bridal, you ask? Our answer is layers. We are starting to see designers take looks to the next level by adding layers throughout the skirt with a variety of fabrics. And to put it simply? We cannot get enough.
