Celebrity Inspired Bridal Gowns At TWS

There is nothing we love more at TWS than a celebrity wedding. No shame in our game - we spend HOURS drooling over the photos. Two of our most recent favorite, Sofia Richie and Simone Biles, wore stunning gowns for their bridal look. We were feeling so inspired, we wanted to share some of our favorite gowns at all three of our locations that give us similar vibes to these two beautiful brides! Keep reading below for all the details of each of their wedding days, and a few TWS bridal picks.

Sofia Richie & Elliot Grainge

Sofia Richie, daughter of Lionel Richie, married Elliot Grainge on April 22nd at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the South of France. Sofia wore not one, but three custom Chanel wedding gowns, curated by Liat Baruch. Her bridal wardrobe consisted of gowns made for the rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and afterparty.

An article from PopSugar noted: Richie’s “rehearsal number was entirely hand-beaded and based off a look worn by Stella Tennant in a 1997 runway show. It was accessorized by a pair of diamond earrings made specially by sister Nicole Richie…The bustier-style minidress she danced in at the reception was inspired by a '90s Claudia Schiffer moment and finished with Jimmy Choo Love pumps.”

Sofia’s ceremony dress was a halter bodice, fully covered in lace all the way through the long train. The detail throughout the gown was truly show stopping. Richie told Vogue Magazine “Working with Chanel was not only an honor but a true dream of mine. Having the opportunity to create this dress and work so closely with Madame Olivia Douchez, première of haute couture salons, and observing their art and immaculate attention to detail was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

From the halter neckline to the lace detail from top to bottom, we have been drooling over Sofia in this stunning Chanel gown. Her look was classic and elegant, with a modest touch. Here are a few gowns from across our locations that are giving us similar vibes - let us know which one is your favorite!

SIMONE BILES & JONATHON OWENS

On Saturday, May 6, seven-time Olympic medal gymnast Simone Biles and NFL Safety Jonathon Owens celebrated their marriage and exchanged vows at their destination wedding in Cabo, Mexico. The two officially said “I do” with a civil ceremony in Houston prior to traveling to Mexico. Biles explained they had to get “legally married” in the US before holding a destination wedding.

Simone wore a Galia Lahav gown for their beachside ceremony. She told Vogue Magazine “I went with my gut feeling and what I felt the most beautiful in, I actually got a dress that I originally said I wouldn’t like.” Simone was nervous about wearing a ballgown given her petite size, but the gown she chose was the best of both worlds. The corset bodice paired with a high slit gave Biles the lengthening she wanted in a gown. She told Vogue “I think this is exactly how brides are supposed to feel: luxurious, beautiful, kind of on top of the world.”

Simone’s gown consisted of an illusion, sweetheart corset bodice, with raw lace edge straps. The exposed boning + the slit - are you kidding!? The gown cinched beautifully at her waist, and the lace detail flowed elegantly down into the tulle skirt. We simply cannot get over this stunning, beachy bridal look. Take a look below at a few gowns from our three locations that are inspired by Simone’s wedding day wardrobe!
